planting new trees in Dronley Wood, Angus

Dronley Community Woodland

Most of our woodlands have only one type of tree all the same age. There is no space for nature. The trees have little value. As they grow they are vulnerable to storms and disease. At Dronley Community Woodland we are working in partnership to transform the plantation into a forest filled with nature, hosting different tree species and valuable timber. This is better for people, nature and carbon storage.

CURRENT JOB

VACANCY

Ebikes for Kirrie & Forfar Carers

Working in partnership with Angus Cycle Hub, supporting Angus carers to get around more easily and visit their clients. This is a pilot to see if this will improve their working day. The project began with 5 carers signing up, and now has a waiting list which an additional fleet of bikes are currently being organised for.

Angus Community Energy Project

Hundreds of street lights around angus are no longer supported by Angus council. We are exploring how communities can keep the lights on where they live.

We have funded Community Energy Expert Joe Smee to take a detailed look at options and opportunities for community street lighting, retrofitting buildings and community energy generation. You can read the report here.

If you are keen to explore some of these options, get in touch.
